Fora was founded in 2021 by travel entrepreneurs Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters and Evan Frank – who shared one big idea. Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated manager to join our Finance Team. As a Financial Operations Manager at Fora, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and play an important part in scaling our Finance function.
You will work closely with various departments to analyze data, identify and pursue automation efficiencies, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. Your contributions will be integral to maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing processes, and driving the company's financial success.
At Fora, we pride ourselves on getting our advisors paid as quickly as possible. This hinges upon us having a superior collections function. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who is passionate about operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage collections team to ensure payments are recorded timely and accurately.
- Implement new tools and tech solutions to streamline collections activities and improve efficiency as we continue to scale, working closely with data and engineering teams.
- Manage credit risk of partners, working closely with travel partners function.
- Track team KPIs, identifying/communicating key themes to leadership.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a combination of Investment Banking, Consulting, high-growth startup. Travel industry and/or collections experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel required. Advanced modeling skills required. Experience with visualization tools such as Metabase/Tableau required. Must be comfortable with large data sets.
- Strong strategic, big picture, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong numerical aptitude with high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience building no-code or low-code solutions a plus. SQL a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with travel advisors, external stakeholders, and amongst the organization.

This role is based in New York City with a hybrid WFH & office schedule (Monday-Thursday are our Tribeca in-office days, with flexibility for Friday at your preference).
Compensation
- $100-130k + equity, commensurate with experience
