About Fora

Hi, we’re Fora. We’re reimagining the travel advisor industry with fresh eyes, and building a travel agency that is modern, inclusive, tech-enabled and well, cool.

Fora is a next-generation travel platform that, through training and tools, enables anyone to become a travel agent. Fora's mission is to empower 100,000 entrepreneurs to transform their passion for travel into revenue, and we’re doing it by curating the most incredible experiences for travelers.

Fora was founded in 2021 by travel entrepreneurs Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters and Evan Frank – who shared one big idea. Since then, we’ve grown to a team of 50+ full-time employees, with an office headquarters in TriBeCa, New York City.

We are fortunate to be backed by an incredible group of investors and are looking for more talented and mission-driven individuals to join our team.

About the role
We are seeking a Business Operations Associate to join the Travel Partners team at Fora. You will be one of the first hires in Fora’s newly-minted Travel Partners team, which is responsible for expanding our network and managing relationships of hundreds of travel partners globally. This is a key strategic function that centralizes and solves some of the company’s most pressing issues and opportunities through three activities: Contracting, Implementation, and Strategic Partnerships. This will be a high-impact and high-visibility role that will help move the needle on generating revenue for the company.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

  • Data reporting to our partners to show performance and trends
  • Identify high-value potential partners and any areas of opportunity to nurture relationships with them
  • Stand up a streamlined operational workflow for onboarding new partners, collaborating with our finance and product operations team to insure a smooth experience for the partner and our team
  • Work closely with the training and marketing teams to ensure strategic partners are given exposure to our advisors
  • Efficiently manage a JIRA / Asana board of the partnerships pipeline

Contracting

  • Expansion of our travel partners network via direct contracting
    • Ensure that contracts are signed and the necessary follow-ups are made
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to collections and financial value of partnerships, and draw actionable insights based on performance
  • Identification of delinquent commission-paying partners and analysis of payment efficiency
  • Work closely with the finance team in monthly statement reporting and all necessary collections efforts

Implementation

  • Platform connectivity: ensure our partners are showing up correctly with all necessary booking instructions in our booking platform
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to iterate on new product features that would best serve our partners and advisors
  • Ensure advisors attempting to book with new partners adhere to the correct onboarding process, and proactively identify / remedy any points of confusion

You will report to and act as an extension of the Team Lead, using good judgment to efficiently move partners down the sales / collections funnel.

About You
  • 1-4 years overall experience, and at least 1 year of demonstrated experience in a data-intensive role (such as an analyst or operations role)
  • High degree of fluency with Excel or Google Sheets, and are comfortable manipulating data
  • Familiarity and ease with BI platforms (e.g. Metabase) and CRM platforms like Hubspot
    • Knowledge of SQL, AppScript and Looker Studio is a plus, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can craft diplomatic emails and have the ability to speak effectively across all levels of business, both internally and externally
  • You are organized, meticulous and have strong attention to detail
  • You think and act like an entrepreneur - you’ll be seeking to make an impact, have an opinion, and constantly looking for ways to improve and contribute
  • Great at relationship-building, online and offline: you will be expected to attend partner events when the opportunity arises
  • Strongly preferred: experience in a high-growth startup, and/or travel industry experience

Compensation
  • $70-90k + equity, commensurate with experience
  • Note: Applications without cover letters will not be considered

Benefits & Perks

This role is full-time, based in New York City with a hybrid WFH & office schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are generally our in-office days) . We offer unlimited vacation, health/dental/vision insurance, One Medical membership, 401(k), commuter benefits, supplemental life insurance, and more.
